Target/Analyte:
Cytochrome C

Short Name CYTC
Description Selective permeabilization of the mitochondrial outer membrane is an integral event in apoptosis resulting in cytochrome c release from the mitochondrial intermembrane space to the cytoplasm. Cytochrome c then triggers activation of caspase proteases via the formation of a complex known as apoptosome.
