Target/Analyte:
TNFa

Short Name TNFalpha
Description Tumor necrosis factor is an adipokine and a cytokine. TNF is a member of the TNF superfamily, which consists of various transmembrane proteins with a homologous TNF domain. As an adipokine, TNF promotes insulin resistance, and is associated with obesity-induced type 2 diabetes.

Method/Kit Description
Photonic Ring Resonator Flow-Based Biosensor Material is flowed through a microfluidics device containing a packaged Photonic Integrated Circuit (PIC) Biosensor for the detection of target proteins in complex matrices.
RT-PCR Total RNA was isolated from the entire TEBV directly using RNeasy Fibrous Tissue Mini Kit (QIAGEN). The purity and concentration of RNA were measured using a Nano-Drop Spectrophotometer. For reverse transcription of RNA into cDNA, 250 ng RNA from the entire TEBV is used for each sample. Reverse transcription was performed using the iScript cDNA Synthesis Kit (BioRad). The PCR reaction was mixed by following the protocol of the iQ SYBR Green Supermix (Bio-Rad). RT-PCR was performed using a CFX Connect Real-Time PCR Detection System (Bio-Rad).
