Method/Kit Description
Luminex Performance Human XL Cytokine Panel (6-Plex) FCSTM18B-06 Assays were completed according to the manufacturer’s instructions at The University of Pittsburgh Cancer Proteomics Facility Luminex® Core Laboratory. All multiplex panels were run at the same time to avoid run-to-run and operator error variability utilizing the xMAP platform licensed by Luminex®. All the cytokine target (CCL2/JE/MCP-1, IL-1 beta/IL-1F2, IL-6, IL-8/CXCL8, IL-10, TNF-alpha) profiling experiments were performed from efflux obtained from devices for each experimental condition. V-PLEX Proinflammatory Panel 1 Human Kit (K15049D-1) he Proinflammatory Panel 1 (human) measures 10 cytokines that are important in inflammation response and immune system regulation as well as numerous other biological processes. These assays can detect secreted biomarkers in a variety of tissues and body fluids where over- or under-expression may indicate a shift in biological equilibrium. This panel also includes assays for many of the Th1/Th2 pathway biomarkers. The Proinflammatory Panel 1 (human) measures biomarkers that are implicated in a number of disorders, including rheumatoid arthritis, Alzheimer’s disease, asthma, atherosclerosis, allergies, systemic lupus erythematosus, obesity, cancer, depression, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, psoriasis, and Crohn’s disease. The Proinflammatory Panel 1 (human) Kit provides assay-specific components for the quantitative determination of IFN-γ, IL-1β, IL-2, IL-4, IL-6, IL-8, IL-10, IL-12p70, IL-13, and TNF-α. This kit may be used for the analysis of all or any combination of these cytokine biomarkers in cell culture supernatants, serum, plasma, and urine.
